The SACHET app is a groundbreaking tool that provides official warnings for all disasters in India. Developed by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), it is the first and only app of its kind in the country.

As part of the CAP (Common Alerting Protocol) project in India, the SACHET app acts as a crucial alert dissemination platform for citizens before, during, and after any disaster. It receives area-specific alerts from various agencies and all 36 states/UTs Disaster Management Authorities, ensuring that people are informed and prepared.

The simplicity of the app's interface makes it easy for users to view disaster early warnings and alerts across the entire country. With its notification feature, Indian citizens receive different disaster alerts and access specific guidelines on what to do and what not to do during each type of disaster. To cater to those with special needs, the app even has a read-out loud feature.

In addition to providing information for the user's current location, the SACHET app offers the flexibility to subscribe to other locations of interest. Moreover, it provides real-time weather details for both the current and subscribed locations.

One remarkable feature of this app is its availability in 12 Indian regional languages, making it accessible to every corner of the country. This ensures that vital disaster information and relief efforts can reach even those who don't speak English.
